ABOUT
SOCIAL WORKER. ADVOCATE. LEADER. LEGACY BUILDER.
Allyson M. Manumaleuna comes from a proud football family, but her calling has always lived beyond the scoreboard. As the sister of former NFL player Brandon Manumaleuna and the daughter of Frank Manumaleuna, who played professionally with the Kansas City Chiefs and later in the USFL, Allyson grew up surrounded by elite athletics. Inspired by their journeys, she chose a different position; one focused on empowering athletes, healing, and development outside the game.
Allyson is the CEO and President of Outside the Game (OTG), a purpose-driven organization founded to support the whole athlete through personalized education, and life coaching.. With a Master’s in Social Work and Life Coaching Certification, she blends social work with lived experience to help individuals build resilience, clarity, and purpose; on and off the field.
In 2016, Allyson joined Harvard University’s Football Players Health Study as a Family Advisor, contributing to a landmark research effort focused on the long-term well-being of former NFL players. She also served as a long-standing board member of the Big John Manumaleuna Foundation, supporting Polynesian and minority athletes through culture, education, sports, and positive life choices.
Her work is rooted in a clear vision; one that recognized early on that athletes needed more than performance training to thrive. She saw the importance of education, emotional wellness, and real-life preparation long before those conversations became mainstream.
In 2000, Allyson began bringing that vision to life by hosting free football clinics and educational workshops for elementary and high school athletes and their families. With the support of her brother and father, she led these efforts across the West Coast; equipping athletes with the tools to prepare physically, academically, and mentally for college and life beyond the game.
Today, Allyson continues to lead Outside the Game as a trusted advisor to athletes of all ages and stages; turning vision into impact and helping individuals build meaningful futures outside the game they love.
